Our little theater has big dreams!

We have been working hard over the last several years to make our dream of a new marquee a reality. In September of 2023 that dream came true! We could not have done it without the grant we received from the Michigan Arts and Culture Council and all of the donors listed below. We owe a huge THANK YOU to Michigan Graphics and Signs out of St. Johns for the demolition of the old marquee and the fabrication and installation of the new one.

We have tried to track down all the donations we have received since 2018 when we started fundraising. If you donated and do not see your name here, or see any inaccuracies, please reach out so we can make sure that is fixed.

We cannot be more grateful to our community for their support of the arts and of the Portland Civic Players.

We have been a part of the Portland community since 1955 and purchased the old Sun Theater in 1971. We are so thankful for those in our organization that had the foresight to make sure we had our own home. The upgrades we have made and continue to work toward will make sure we can provide affordable live theater to the Portland Community and surrounding area for many years to come!
